Leadership is an important aspect in the organization because it ensures processes are running as expected. In an organization, there are skills and expertise that leaders are carrying and important on bringing value into the organization. In this article, knowledge oriented leadership and knowledge management is researched targeting on understanding the kind of leadership would impact the performance in the organization. The data was collected from 215 employees from 32 small project based software firms and the data subjected to analysis using the Partial least square method in testing the hypothesis. The findings indicated that the knowledge oriented leadership has a positive association with the knowledge management behavior and innovation performance. There is the need to consider knowledge management being part of leadership where innovation and creativity is improved and results to better performance. A good performance in an organization is attributed to determination of a leader and promoting sharing of knowledge.

Leadership is an important aspect that is needed in different sectors of the economy especially in organization and corporate. The article discusses about the leadership trends and challenges that are present in the 21st century and how leaders rethink about their priorities and strategies if achieving them. The article has raised the challenges that are present in the 21st century and suggests the future leadership development according to the relevant leadership theories. The research used the explanatory literature review method in collecting the data and the integrative technique in literature reviewing of the sources available since 2000. The outcome of the research indicated that the leadership theories are the base of leadership and help overcome the current challenges. The leadership theories and the leadership developmental theories are critical and acts as foundation of successful leadership and they are associated with each other where challenges also may arise. The article indicated that there is the need of having good leadership theories that offer better solutions to current challenges.

Leadership is defined as a phenomenon that considers the process of personal influence where organization goals are achieved. The article defines leadership as capacity that is occupied by an individual to make sure something is performed or accomplished. A leader should be a person that guides the junior staff on the right direction by influencing and inspiring them. However, the paper highlights about studies that has focused on observation of action, interactions or the performance of leadership that is known to naturally occur in the environment. An interview based studies rely on individual perception and interpret it in a personal perspective. The article is discussing about the leadership styles that are present in the world of leadership and management and the impact it has on employees performances and preparing them to rival against superior competitors. The article purpose is to showcase the role and influence that leadership style has towards the performance of the employees in their assigned tasks. The research study was conducted by involving 185 employees that were sourced from 10 European companies that are in operations in different sectors of the economy. Chi-square statistics were employed in researching the relationship between leadership styles and employees performance. The findings from the research indicated that the subordinate staff is known in building their expectations to the tasks delegated to them and performance based on the leadership style imposed to them. The leadership styles that include the situational leadership is when the employees feel the freedom of delivering value based on their way of achieving them.

Women leadership is being embraced in today’s world and there are increasing number of them that are leading big companies and institutions because of their competence and abilities. The article discusses the women leaders and their achievement in the retina field and this was conducted by checking the gender representation in the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS). Historical data was collected under the longitudinal study that included the reports from 1983 to 2020. Research about ASRS has shown that there is an increasing number of women represented from 11% in 2007 to 19.7% in 2020. The higher positions of the board had shown also an increase in women representation. The research is an eye-opening that leadership should be embraced and people should not be chosen based on gender but their qualities and experience to deliver quality. There are still cases of women underrepresentation based on the percentage of women represented in the ASRS and there is the need to embrace women leadership until a poit when it reaches 50% representation.

The article purposely targets exploring the role of leadership in organizational innovation. The study was conducted by reviewing various literature sources and publications that discusses the relationship that is there between styles of leadership and innovation. The research used 65 research publications to review the literature and analyze them in a descriptive manner and then review it based on the leadership style and derive the significant meanings. The findings of the research indicated that various leadership styles had a positive impact on organization innovation that is either directly or indirectly by creating an environment where the employees gets an opportunity of sharing knowledge and learn in order for them to be innovative. There are leadership styles that are there and create both either direct or indirect impact to the organization innovation. The article investigates the leadership techniques and practices that are embraced in Nigeria. The research targets on exploring the application of leadership styles in an organization and also addresses the operational complexities that are experienced in the organization. The research was conducted by collecting the data through semi-structured interviews and the participant observation was applied. The case study that was of focus was a Nigerian commercial livestock firm. The case study showcased different leadership styles that were used in the field and each had its challenges and complexities that are there and the best way to getting an effective style in choosing the one with minimal complexities and challenges. The research also showed that systemic leadership intervention needs to be applied in the public sector to operate well in delivering value. The argument behind choosing the systemic leadership is the fact that it avoids marginalization of its application. Systemic leadership would eliminate the complexities and achieve success in leading the firm.

The current leadership challenge that is experienced is that companies are failing to survive due to dynamic innovations that are experienced. The article has raised the aspect that the leadership styles that are adopted in organization determine if innovations would be experienced or not. The leadership styles are the one that creates an environment for the employees for them to be innovative and creative and failure of building a conducive environment leads to a failure of the organization. Innovation requires an environment where employees are supporting through provision of the resources needed and the failure result to no practicality or research resulting to no innovation. A leader is needed to inspire and give space to employees to try and if they fails, no victimization should be showed to them because it will discourage innovation.
