• Children in crisis situation need supportive, normalizing and affirming connections and
contacts with professionals if they are to move beyond the crisis.

• When a crime is committed against them by someone, such as sexual violations, child
abuse, child neglect, hate crimes, gang violence, robbery, harassment, or homicide.
